Hospice Villa de la Esperanza english version

Ammar Ayudando Foundation is an organization focused on palliative treatment for children and young people from ages to 0 to 21 years old that suffer any terminal disease and need care not only physical but emotional and spiritual. On the last stage of a terminal disease, patients need palliative care, wich is based on life quality, pain control, and medical support to them and their families. This type of care has been relegated on hospitals due to lack of budget or space, since patients with low life expectation are seen as an additional expense. Many of these patients end their days with inapriopriate medical conditions and lack of dignity that any human being deserves when he dies. Ammar Ayudando´s goal is to provide most terminally ill kids a hospice with a team of doctors and volunteers that accompanies them and their families until the end during the hardest part which is the palliative one. The Hospice Villa de la Esperanza, Casa Estela will be built by Rotaract, Guatemala Este and the foundation Ammar Ayudando, it will be the first of its kind in Central America, creating spaces of comfort and peace for a dignifying death.
