Walt’s compression fracture in his spine caused him pain and kept him from being able to work. A family member referred him to Dr. Edward Faber, a multiple myeloma specialist at The Nebraska Medical Center. Walt said, “I came into Dr. Faber’s office in a wheel chair, but things immediately began to turn for the better. “There was a sense of urgency and a team approach.” Cancer pain management specialist Dr. Madhuri Are repaired his fracture. “The pain just went away,” he said.
