Natural Pain Relief
Article by Gary Granada
There probably isn’t a person on this planet that hasn’t suffered pain at some point and the reason we have this distasteful experience is as a defense against continuing a particular action; like a person who picks up something heavy and hurts their back, so the pain stops them from picking up anything else.BTW, I found a site about rehabilitation equipment in Spanish: equipos de rehabilitación. It can be caused by anything from a dental cavity to a broken bone to a disease but once we determine where the pain is coming from, we can diagnose and address the health problem, thus relieving the pain. Sometimes, however, pain isn’t dealt with so easily and it remains with us despite all efforts to banish it.
People in this situation are said to be suffering with ‘chronic pain’ which is a persistent feeling, the type that exists with back pain for example and unlike those of ‘acute pain’ which is intense but can be treated. There is no preventative action you can take to stop chronic pain and it can affect someone at anytime during their life from almost any situation from accident, injury or disease. Chronic pain often long outlives its original cause, worsening over time and taking on a life of its own and the longer chronic pain goes untreated, the worse it becomes.
Unfortunately, prescription medication, which is the normal way to deal with the pain, can become ineffective over prolonged periods requiring higher doses and the chance of dangerous side effects increase; now people are turning to wards more natural pain relief methods. Acupuncture has been used as a form of natural pain relief and cure for many chronic conditions for over two thousand years. One natural pain relief treatment that has been used for many thousands of years is acupuncture. The Chinese use acupuncture to treat and cure many ailments by inserting long very thin needles into the skin.
Patients claim acupuncture has proven effective in treating ailments such as neck pain, migraine headaches, arthritic pain, and even depression. For others, they have found that herbal remedies work well for them as natural pain relief because they do not show any indication of side effects common with prescription medication. Herbal remedies as are often used for natural pain relief in combination and people suffering with arthritis find that Emu oil is very useful for their condition.
The downside of herbal treatments used is they often take longer to achieve noticeable results; the upside is that you aren’t introducing man-made foreign compounds into your body, and run less risk of side effects or damaging your overall health. If the truth be known then one way of even having to avoid natural pain relief is to change the way you life by eating healthier which means cutting back on processed foods but increasing your intake of fruit and vegetables. Many people cut back on the amount of sleep they have which is a mistake as sleep in the correct amounts is a time when the body repairs itself but exercise should not be forgotten either as even walking is a very healthy physical activity.
