Cryogel – Natural Pain Relief
I have been training in kickboxing for around 15 years; this along with a manual job I’ve had my fair share of knocks and bruises over the years. I’ve tried many different remedies, some that work and some that don’t. Most of the aches I just put down to ‘well I’m just getting on a bit’ but one of the major problems I had was Planter Fasciitis. It took me around a month of just putting up with the pain before I sought out professional help. I had various orthotics made, countless visits to a physio, and enough pain relieving gels and tablets to numb a horse.
Around this time I saw an advert for a ‘natural’ pain relieving gel, endorsed by various MMA superstars, well if they say it’s good and considering the amount of punishment they take it must be worth a try.
Cryogel comes either in a gel tube or roll on in 3 different scents with various ingredients including anti-inflammatory such as Arnica, Witch Hazel, Menthol and Camphor. I decided to order a tube of the Original Menthol (blue)
My first impression of the original Blue gel was how good it smelt, it wasn’t over powering like Tiger Balm. It didn’t give that ‘burning’ feeling Tiger Balm gives you. Another thing I noticed was how quickly it absorbs into the skin many other products stay on the surface of the skin a long time, which passes on to clothes. Cryogel had an immediate cooling effect and had a great effect on sore muscles and sprains.
I just want to show my support of the Cryogel product, it really has really helped me with pain relief. My father is a sufferer of arthritis and he swears by it. Cryogel could have solved a problem that many participants in Kickboxing, Martial Arts and other sports disciplines that have problems training the next day due to muscular pain and the fatigue in their muscles. And with it being a natural product there is no danger of overuse like Ibrobruphen based gels. By using Cryogel the night before or straight after your workout it really does reduce muscle soreness or inflammation.
