* How does anxiety cause climax?
* How does your body learn to climax quickly?

These are the unasked and unanswered questions. I believed the answer to this lay in how orgasm is triggered. So I searched for more info on the orgasm. In the 1966 book “Human Sexual Response” by Masters and Johnson, sexual activity is characterized as a four-phase process: Excitement, Plateau, Orgasm, and Resolution.
What does this mean?
It means, simply stated – the cause of premature ejaculation could be involuntary muscular contractions starting during foreplay.
Could it be this simple? Was this the answer to the unanswered question? I was about to find out.
Upon piecing this information together, I put together a new theory. Hopefully it would answer the questions posted in the previous four theories…
My Search For More Proof!
In seeking more proof for this new theory, I searched my own memory for details that would back it up. I remember visiting a sex therapist in 1989 about my PE. He talked about stress levels and relaxation. He was also a hypnotist, so we tried that also. All of our hypnosis sessions where centered around relaxation, he never focused on the premature ejaculation itself.
In 2003, I ordered self hypnosis CD’s designed to cure premature ejaculation. Guess what the dominant topic was? Relaxation.
Don’t worry, I’m not going to tell you to simply relax and you will cure your premature ejaculation. There is a little bit more to it than that.
It seemed that science and researchers had been on the edge of this discovery for decades. Relaxation helps, but nobody understood why. I discovered the reason is because it helps with the muscles in the pelvic region, and that’s what triggers the climax. However, unlike a hypnosis session, we are going to target the muscles directly, in a way never taught before.
The Texas Male Health Clinic That Used This Theory… And Their Results
This health clinic based in Houston, Texas understood that the pelvic muscles needed to be relaxed in order to cure premature ejaculation. Their approach was to instruct the male patient to insert a plug in his rectum. With the help of a home teaching monitor, while masturbating, the patient trained themselves to recognize the contracting muscles and consciously keep them relaxed. Unsurprisingly, the men were reluctant to use a rectal plug, so the therapy was scrapped.
The clinic used “Theory X” (though they didn’t call it that) to formulate a treatment and test it out. It worked, but it was so unpleasant nobody wanted to do it.
The therapy was a good indicator of success, but I needed more confirmation.
Did “Theory X” Answer The Unanswered Question?
The four main theories on premature ejaculation were obviously true to some extent, otherwise they wouldn’t have survived this long. If my theory was correct, then it would have to fit as the ultimate explanation for the four theories and answer the unanswered question with each.
Let’s look at the four theories again. This time, applying the new theory and seeing if it acts as the ultimate explanation.
Putting “Theory X” To The Test
There were three tests to proving “Theory X”. One, I wanted to see if I could observe the muscular tension in my own body prior to orgasm. I did, and was surprised I had never noticed this before. The second test was to determine a common thread between the four theories. (See above).
The third test was putting this new discovery into action to see if it would end my premature ejaculation and allow me to last longer in bed.
Unfortunately, it wasn’t simply a matter of saying “Okay, I must relax these muscles now”, and then my PE would be cured. I spent many weeks of trial and error formulating a series of exercises that would allow me to increase my staying power.
